Solids to the Left ... is on Poetry.com, along with other poems I have written under Debra Anne Johnson ( Look for the SMILE Poems) . This is a great site for children to "journal" and express themselves. If they lose their poetry journal, they can always go online to retrieve it. It instantly post with a copyright (c)

Solids to the Left is a cheer to help youth remember their table settings when they go to a restaurant. geared toward K-8th grade, but everyone can use it. Today with Fast Food and TV Trays, our children tend to forget when they go out which place setting is thiers.
Tip for the week: Have your child set the table and dress up at least once per week for dinner. Then go out to a restaurant and see if they remember "solids to the left... liquids to the right..." Keep SMILEing
